Film, bike ride and cafe opening [VIDEO]

More than a year has passed since we founded Bohemian Coffee House. Looking back, a few things did not go as quickly as we had planned, but overall, the selection of coffee in the north of Bohemia mainly brought us joy. And now it's time to share three major news. We managed to edit our first short film (you can watch it below), on November 3, 2018 we are planning a coffee bike ride from Varnsdorf through Czech and Saxon Switzerland to Dolní Poustevna and the best at the end. At the beginning of December, we will finally open our first brick-and-mortar cafe! You will soon find out exactly where and when.

Short film

You all probably already know that we love cycling and being in nature. In the summer, we invited the talented cameraman and director Luboš Konečný from Forpix to Czech Switzerland, who filmed a video guide to the AeroPress in the winter, to follow a group of cyclists and coffee lovers with cameras and a drone. You can watch the entire three-minute film above, which begins with a morning hardening in the pond and ends with a coffee ritual on top of a basalt hill with sandstone rocks. But we won't deprive you of the one-minute trailer version, where Luboš's 92-year-old grandmother recorded the voiceover for us. We hereby thank her, the second cameraman Honzo and friends Martin, Honzo, Harry and Matěj, who went on the ride with Jiří and Jiří.

Autumn cycling

On Saturday, November 3, 2018, we would like to invite you to an autumn bike ride. At 10 o'clock in the morning we will set off from "Skleník" on mountain or trekking bikes, through Zadní Doubica to Germany in the direction of Sebnitz, or Lower Hermitage. The route will be undemanding terrain along forest and field roads, we will only use the road as necessary. We will ride together, accompanied by riders from the Bohemian Coffee House team, so that no one misses us or vice versa, so that we don't lose someone. The final destination will be Fajnklub in Dolní Poustevna around noon, where we will have a well-deserved beer and lunch.

After the meal, we will prepare a coffee ritual for you using alternative coffee preparation methods, such as Chemex , AeroPress or even V60 . There will be enough coffee for everyone, plus some interesting information about our coffee and something sweet to nibble on . We calculate that we will go back at 15:00 in the afternoon, we expect to return to Varnsdorf around 17:00. The return modified route will mostly lead through easy terrain.

Cafe

We love making coffee outside, but it's time for us to move to the warmth of the new premises for the winter, where we will open the first brick-and-mortar cafe that will bear the name Bohemian Coffee House. Just 10 kilometers from Czech Switzerland in the center of Rumburk, we will soon be looking forward to local coffee lovers and visitors from near and far. There are still a few weeks left until the opening, during which we will gradually demystify the place and its transformation into its final form.
